The Notes application offers a seamless way to manage patient notes, from creation to review, with advanced features including PDF downloads and AI-assisted note generation. Here’s how to navigate and use the Notes app effectively.

Accessing Notes

  1. Select a Patient: Begin in the Patients app. Click on a patient to view their profile.
  2. Navigate to Notes: Under the patient’s name in their main navigation, click on “Notes.” This opens the menu displaying all your notes for that patient.

Managing Notes

  • Viewing Notes: Click on any note to expand and read the full body text. Each note's menu offers options to interact with the note further.
  • Download PDF: To the right of the note, find a button to download the note as a PDF for offline access or sharing.
  • AI Note Generation: Next to the download button, an option allows you to run the selected note through PopularisAI, creating a new, AI-generated note based on the original content.

Creating and Editing Notes

At the top of the Notes menu, three key buttons provide different functionalities:

  • All Notes: Displays a comprehensive list of all notes associated with the patient.
  • Write a Note: This feature is straightforward—write your note, and once finished, sign it to complete. This traditional method of note-taking is essential for quick and personalized entries.
  • AI Note Writer: For a more advanced approach, use the AI Note Writer. Provide a prompt, and the AI will return an editable draft. After reviewing and making any necessary adjustments, add your signature. This feature is particularly useful for generating comprehensive notes efficiently.

Signing Notes

  • Adding a Signature: Both manual and AI-generated notes require a signature for completion. Add your signature when completing a note. If a signature hasn’t been set up yet, use the drawing pad feature to create a new one, ensuring authenticity and verification for each note.

Key Tips

  • Proofreading: Especially when using the AI Note Writer, it's crucial to proofread the generated note for accuracy and relevancy before finalizing.
  • Save or Download: After signing, you have the option to save the note for future reference within Popularis or download it, depending on your needs.
